About the Teacher

Trina Blatz holds a Bachelors degree in Arts from the University of Calgary and a Bachelors degree in Education from McGill University. She is a registered piano teacher with the Royal Conservatory of Music and holds a Grade 8 diploma in piano performance and Grade 2 diploma in Theory. She has worked as a music specialist with the Lester B Pearson School Board teaching recorder, ukulele, African drumming and keyboards to students K-6. She has maintained her own piano studio in Kirkland since 1997 where she has enjoyed developing long, stable relationships with her students and their families. She views music education as part of the well-rounded development of a child.
